There are a few ways to add files and folders in Next Project. This article describes how you do this

You can add files and folders in Next Project in two ways

  • Using the Add button, to the left in the toolbar

  • Using drag-n-drop function

Using the Add function you can select to add files or folders from e.g. your local computer but also create folders.

If you select Add new document a window is shows where you can select the files and folders you want to add to your project. Here you can also do drag-n-drop on the files and folders you want to add.

In case you have very large files or just add a link to your own document storage, e.g. Google Drive or OneDrive if you are using such services, just select to "Insert link to document" instead.

You can also add files and folder by just drag-n-drop them from e.g. Windows Explorer and drop them on the folder in Next Project where you want to add them. When you do that, you will get the same popup windows as when you use the Add function.

Create folder

  1. Select a folder or row where the folder is to be created.

  2. Click on the green plus icon and select Add folder.

  3. Create a name for the folder.

  4. Click OK.

  5. Folder created.

Add file

  1. Select a folder or row to add the document to.

  2. Click on the green plus icon and select Add document.

  3. In the dialog Create document, select a file from the computer by Select files or drag one or more files from the computer to the dialog and drop.

  4. Click Upload.

  5. Documents uploaded and added.

Drag and drop

It is possible to take one or more files, or take a folder structure containing folders and files and drag them into NEXT.

  1. Take a file / files or a folder structure on your computer.

  2. Drag the contents to the row or folder where you want to create them.

  3. Drop the content.

  4. A dialog Upload folder to opens and shows the content the user has just released.

  5. In the dialog Upload folder to, select the file or files to be uploaded. By default, everything is uploaded if no manual change has been made.

  6. Click Upload.

  7. The content is uploaded and the user receives a progress bar per file to visualise that something is being uploaded.

  8. Content uploaded.
