This article explains how to place a previously created item onto a drawing in the CHECKD Field app. It provides step-by-step instructions for locating an item and pinpointing its exact position on a selected drawing after the fact.

You don't always have time to place an item on a drawing while you're out in the field or working at your computer — and that's completely fine. You can place an item on a drawing at any point after creating it. You can also create items without placing them on a drawing at all — read more about that here.

To place an item on a drawing, follow these steps:

1. Open the CHECKD Field app, then open your project.

2. Find the item you want to place.

3. Once you've opened the item, tap the menu button in the top right corner — it looks like three dots.

4. Select "Place item on drawing."

5. Choose the drawing you'd like to place the item on.

6. Zoom in and find the area where you want to place the item. Press and hold your finger on the drawing for half a second, then drag your finger to the exact spot you want. As soon as you lift your finger, the item will be placed.
