This article provides insights into effectively utilizing resource planning in Next Project.
Overview:
Resource planning is a tool for allocating projects/work orders to existing personnel or staffing work orders with existing workforce. It provides a quick overview that is easy to understand and use.
This article aims to help you quickly get started and gain a comprehensive understanding of how the module functions. Currently, there are no integrations with other systems – consider the module as a way to replace Excel sheets or whiteboards commonly used in many construction companies.
The module is not included by default and needs to be activated and assigned permissions.

Select the project to work on by choosing a project in the tree view. (In this case, the "Show Subordinate Data" button is also active.)

Choose the Planning module and then Resource Planning.

Planning:
Here, you can see that a person has been assigned to 1 work order.

Select the Project/Work Order to plan. Instead of drag-and-drop, choose a work order and click on the day(s) you want to allocate the selected row to.

Click on a day, or select multiple days to distribute the work to the relevant person.

Choose a view:

Plan Work Orders on Users or

Plan Users on Work Orders.

The main functions of the Timeline are described below:

Show Subordinate Data: Choose to view the current project and its underlying projects.

Group: Filter users in a group.

Show Selected Project: If checked, only work orders on the selected project are displayed.

You can switch weeks or choose to center the planning on a specific date.

Already Planned Work Orders: Move to another day or another person.
Note: There is a setting that determines the information contained in the explanatory text on the bars. You can freely choose Project Name/Project Number/WO Name/WO Number. If you want to change the displayed information, contact support for assistance in making the adjustment.
