Here you can find an FAQ for e-Invoice
RESOLVED (2026-10-09)
It was not possible to send emails from e-Invoice, for example to dispute an invoice - It is once again possible to send emails from e-Invoice
"Show all" in e-Invoice has new logic – If you check Show all, you will see all invoices where you are included in the approval workflow at any stage, except for finance administrators, who see all invoices when Show all is checked. When Show all is unchecked, you should only see the invoices where it is your turn to take action.
The Project Manager column is missing in e-Invoice. – It is now possible to see the Project Manager column again. All project managers are displayed. We are continuing to investigate a new development where a column displays the next person in the approval chain.
There are indications that line-level interpretation works differently than before - Line-level interpretation now works as expected for newly received invoices. The Export checkbox is selected by default, and the values are interpreted as usual. Unfortunately, for invoices received last week, you need to enter the project and correct values manually. We apologize for the extra work this causes you.
It is not possible to post to accounts that are not marked as expense accounts in the chart of accounts - All accounts can now be selected when posting
In some cases where step 1 and step 2 are approved by the same person, the approval cannot be undone – You can now undo the approval even if the same person approved both step 1 and step 2 using an amount limit.
Poor performance in the forecast - Although not previously communicated, this has also been resolved in this fix
RESOLVED (2026-10-06)
- It is not possible for the final approver to undo an approval when the invoice has been approved in step 1 or step 2 by another approver. - To undo an approval for an earlier step in the approval chain, check "Escalate approval" and then click Undo approval.
- The green check mark is missing on invoices that were approved before the release.
Solution: Undo the approval and approve the invoice again; the green check mark will then be displayed. Alternatively, approve it in the next step; the invoice will reload and display two green check marks.
Questions received by our support team and their status
- It is not possible to change the posting as the final approver. - Current solution: The person who approved most recently undoes their approval, changes the posting to the correct one, and approves again. Make sure that the person who is to approve has permission to manage posting. This is shown under the project's approval workflow. We are investigating how this should work going forward
- A final approver cannot remove another final approver's approval, even if they belong to the same cost center - We are investigating how this should work going forward
- It is not possible to select several invoices for approval at the same time. - This is because approval is now performed at line level. We are investigating whether a solution should be developed to handle the lines of several invoices at once.
- It is not possible to change an approval workflow that is marked as active on a project. This means that if you want to create a new approval workflow to use for all projects, it currently has to be set manually for each project. - We are investigating a possible solution for mass-updating the approval workflow.
- The bubble showing the number of "to-dos" on the e-Invoice button counts differently than before. - We are investigating how this should work going forward
- Approvers do not see construction VAT lines posted by the finance administrator - This is an intentional decision because approval is now performed at line level. We are nevertheless investigating a possible solution to display that the invoice has been posted with a different VAT rate.
- As an approver, you cannot simply approve the invoice in its entirety without escalating first. - For an approver to approve all steps on the invoice, they must now use escalation. This follows the specification, as it was previously too easy to approve the entire invoice.
- Posting is not automatically saved when marking an invoice ready for approval - We are investigating this. Save your changed posting lines before clicking Ready for approval.
- Display of project name - A solution is being developed to display it both in the overview and on the posting lines.
-
Including subprojects in the approval workflow does not work as intended - We are investigating this.
Current solution: Set a separate approval chain for each project. - The project list is now filtered by user - For some customers, this does not make the work easier. We are investigating how this should work going forward. Finance administrators see all projects and must distribute the invoice lines to the correct projects.
- Warning when someone is missing from the approval chain - If, for example, a site supervisor has been added as part of the approval chain but no site supervisor has been specified for the project, we want to display this in e-Invoice. We are investigating a solution
- A due date is now required in e-Invoice; previously, it could be omitted - It is required in the accounting system, however, and was previously handled through the integration when the value in e-Invoice was empty. Solution: Enter a due date. We will investigate whether this should be changed back, but it is not a top priority.
- Clarification regarding the possibility of adding an attachment in e-Invoice - You can add an attachment in e-Invoice, but note that the attachment is not transferred to the accounting system or to posted costs in Next.
-
Performance issues in e-Invoice - A handful of customers have reported performance issues in e-Invoice, where certain actions are slow. We are investigating why these customers are affected.
The new feature that allows linked lines to be released on a customer invoice causes a discrepancy in revenue accounting if the line originated from several different work orders/change orders. - A correction is being worked on

Requests from several of you
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We have received the following requests and are investigating how best to address them:
-
The Project Manager column is missing in e-Invoice.
We are aware that the Project Manager column has been removed, and this is due to the new approval workflow. Under the "Approval workflow" button in e-Invoice, you can see who is to approve in the next step.
With the new approval workflow, it is not certain that the project manager is the person who should approve in the next step. Since approval is now performed at line level, there may also be more people included in the approval workflow. This means that there may be several people next in line to approve the invoice.
We are collecting information about why you want the column and what purpose it serves.
This article is updated continuously until everything has been resolved.
