Here you will find an FAQ for e-Invoice
RESOLVED!
(2026-10-09)
- "Show all" in e-Invoice has new logic – When you check Show all, you will see all invoices where you are included in the approval flow at any step, except for finance admins, who see all invoices when Show all is checked. When Show all is unchecked, you should only see the invoices that are next in line for you to take action on.
- It is not possible to send emails from e-Invoice, e.g., to dispute an invoice - It is once again possible to send emails from e-Invoice
- The Project Manager column is missing in e-Invoice. – It is now possible to see the project manager column again. All project managers are displayed. We are continuing to look into a new development where a column displays the next person in the approval flow.
- It is not possible to post to accounts that are not marked as expense accounts in the chart of accounts - All accounts can now be selected when posting
- In some cases where steps 1 and 2 are approved by the same person, the approval cannot be undone – It is now possible to undo the approval even if the same person has approved both steps 1 and 2 using an approval limit.
- Poor performance in the forecast - Not communicated previously, but this has also been resolved in this fix
-
There are indications that line-level interpretation works differently than before - A partial correction has been made to line-level interpretation.
(2026-10-06)
- It is not possible for the final approver to undo an approval when the invoice has been approved in step 1 or step 2 by another approver. - To undo an approval for the earlier step in the approval flow, check "Escalate approval" and then click Undo approval.
-
The green check mark is missing on invoices that were approved before the release.
Solution: Undo the approval and approve the invoice again; the green check mark will then appear. Alternatively, approve it in the next step; the invoice will reload and display two green check marks.
Questions received by our support team and their status
Coming in the October 19 release
- The new feature that allows linked lines to be released on a customer invoice causes a discrepancy in revenue accounting if the line originated from several different AO/ÄTA. - A correction is being worked on - Coming in the October 19 release
- Displaying project names - A solution is being developed to display them both in the overview and on the posting lines. Coming in the October 19 release.
-
Posting is not automatically saved when marking an invoice ready for approval - Being investigated. Save your changed posting lines before clicking Ready for approval. - Coming in the October 19 release.
Under investigation!
- It is not possible to change the posting as the final approver. - Current solution: The person who approved most recently undoes their approval, changes the posting to the correct one, and approves again. Make sure that the person who is going to approve has permission to manage posting. This is shown under the project's approval flow. We are investigating how this should work going forward
- A final approver cannot remove another final approver's approval, even if they belong to the same cost center - We are investigating how this should work going forward
- It is not possible to change an approval flow that is specified as active on a project. This means that if you want to create a new approval flow to use for all projects, it currently needs to be set manually for each project. - We are investigating a possible solution for bulk-updating the approval flow.
- The number bubble for "to do" items on the e-Invoice button counts differently than before. - We are investigating how this should work going forward
- It is not possible to select several invoices at the same time for approval. - This is because approval is now performed at the line level. We are investigating whether a solution should be developed to handle lines from several invoices at once.
-
Setting approval flows for subprojects does not work as intended - Under investigation.
Current solution: Set a separate approval flow for each project. - The project list is now filtered by user - For some customers, this does not make their work easier. We are looking into how this should work going forward. Finance admins see all projects and can distribute the invoice lines to the correct project.
- Warning if someone in the approval flow is missing - For example, if a site supervisor has been added as part of the approval flow but no site supervisor has been specified for the project, we want to display this in e-Invoice. A solution is under investigation.
- A due date is now required in e-Invoice; previously, it could be omitted - It is required in the accounting system, however, and was previously handled through the integration when the value in e-Invoice was empty. Solution: Enter a due date. We will look into whether this should be changed back, but it is not a high priority.
- Clarification regarding the ability to add an attachment in e-Invoice - You can add an attachment in e-Invoice, but note that the attachment is not transferred to the accounting system or to posted costs in Next.
- Performance problems in e-Invoice - A handful of customers have reported performance problems in e-Invoice, with certain actions taking a long time. We are investigating why these customers are affected.
-
There are indications that line-level interpretation works differently than before - A partial correction has been made. Export is not checked by default, and projects are not retrieved. We are looking into this!
Current solution: Export must be checked manually for now, and the values must be entered manually. Note! Also make sure that you have entered a prioritized price list. This is specified for the supplier in the supplier register, under the "Advanced" tab, to ensure the correct matching with items. - The entire page needs to be reloaded when creating a new supplier in e-Invoice - Affects some customers. If you experience this, please contact support and show what happens.
- Time indication is missing from the approval in e-Invoice - A correction is being worked on
- Credit yes or no is only possible before an invoice is marked "Ready for approval" - This is being investigated and will be adjusted.
-
Posting cannot be saved - In some cases, when invoices are filtered, focus is lost and the posting cannot be saved. This will be fixed. Current solution: Select the invoice.
Changes we have received feedback about but that will not be changed because they are according to specification
- As an approver, you cannot simply approve the invoice in its entirety without escalating first. - For an approver to approve all steps on the invoice, they must now use Escalate. This is according to the specification, as it was previously too easy to approve the entire invoice.
-
Approvers and verifiers cannot see construction VAT lines posted by the finance admin - This is an intentional decision because approval is now performed at the line level. We are nevertheless investigating a possible solution to show that the invoice has been posted with a different VAT rate.

Performance
We have received indications that invoices with many posting lines can take a long time to open and manage. If you notice this, please contact us and send a recording of it.
Requests from several of you
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We have received the following requests and are looking into how best to resolve them:
-
The Project Manager column is missing in e-Invoice.
We are aware that the project manager column has been removed, and this is due to the new approval flow. Under the "Approval flow" button in e-Invoice, you can see who is supposed to approve in the next step.
With the new approval flow, it is not necessarily the project manager who should approve in the next step. Since approval is now performed at the line level, there may also be several people included in the approval flow. This means that several people may be next in line to approve the invoice.
We are collecting information about why you would like to have the column and what purpose it serves.
This article is updated continuously until everything has been resolved.
