Here you will find an FAQ for e-Invoice
RESOLVED!
(2026-10-09)
- "Show all" in e-Invoice has new logic – If you check Show all, you will see all invoices where you are included in the approval flow at some step, except for finance administrators, who see all invoices when Show all is checked. When Show all is unchecked, you should only see the invoices where it is your turn to take action next.
- It is not possible to send emails from e-Invoice, e.g., to dispute an invoice - It is possible to email from e-Invoice again
- The Project Manager column is missing in e-Invoice. – It is now possible to see the project manager column again. All project managers are displayed. We are continuing to look into a new development where we have a column that displays the next person in the approval flow.
- It is not possible to allocate to accounts that are not marked as expense accounts in the chart of accounts - All accounts can now be selected during allocation
- Poor performance in the forecast - Not communicated previously, but this has also been resolved in this fix
-
There are indications that line-level interpretation works differently than before - A partial fix has been made for line-level interpretation.
(2026-10-06)
- It is not possible for the final approver to undo an approval when the invoice has been approved in step 1 or step 2 by another approver. - To undo an approval for the earlier step in the approval flow, you need to check "Escalate approval" and then click Undo approval.
-
The green check mark is missing on invoices that were approved before the release.
Solution: Undo the approval and approve the invoice again, and the green check mark will be displayed. Alternatively, approve it in the next step, and the invoice will reload and receive two green check marks.
Questions received by our support team and their status
Coming in the October 19 release
- The new feature that allows linked lines to be released on a customer invoice causes a difference in the revenue allocation if the line originated from several different AO/ÄTA. - A fix is being worked on - Coming in the October 19 release
- Display of project name - A solution is being developed to display it both in the overview and on the allocation lines. Coming in the October 19 release.
-
Allocation is not automatically saved when ready for approval - Being investigated. Save your changed allocation lines before clicking ready for approval. - Coming in the October 19 release.
Being investigated!
- It is not possible for the final approver to change the allocation. - Current workaround: The person who approved most recently undoes their approval, changes the allocation to the correct one, and approves again. Make sure that the person who is to approve has permission to manage allocations. This is displayed under the project's approval flow. How this should work going forward is being investigated
- A final approver cannot remove another final approver's approval, even if they belong to the same cost center - How this should work going forward is being investigated
- It is not possible to change an approval flow that is specified as active on a project. This means that if you want to create a new approval flow to use on all projects, it currently needs to be set manually for each project. - A possible solution for bulk-updating the approval flow is being investigated.
- The bubble showing the number of "to-dos" on the e-Invoice button counts differently than before. - How this should work going forward is being investigated
- It is not possible to select multiple invoices for approval at the same time. - This is because approval is now at the line level. We are investigating whether a solution should be developed to handle the lines of multiple invoices at once.
-
Including subprojects in the approval flow does not work as intended - Being investigated.
Current workaround: Set a separate approval flow for each project. - The project list is now filtered per user - For some customers, this does not make their work easier. We are looking into how this should work going forward. Finance administrators can see all projects and assign the invoice lines to the correct project.
- Warning if someone is missing from the approval flow - If, for example, a site manager has been added as part of the approval flow but no site manager has been specified on the project, we want to display this in e-Invoice. A solution is being investigated
- A due date is now required in e-Invoice; previously, it could be omitted - However, it is required in the financial system and was previously resolved through the integration when the e-Invoice value was empty. Solution: Enter a due date. We will look into whether this should be changed back, but it is not the highest priority.
- Clarification regarding the option to add an attachment in e-Invoice - You can add an attachment in e-Invoice, but note that the attachment is not transferred to the financial system or to posted costs in Next.
- Performance issues in e-Invoice - A handful of customers have reported performance issues in e-Invoice, where certain actions are slow. We are investigating why this affects them.
-
There are indications that line-level interpretation works differently than before - A partial fix has been made. Export is not checked by default, and projects are not retrieved. We are looking into this!
Current workaround: Export must be checked manually until then, and the values must be entered manually. Note! Also make sure that you have entered a prioritized price list. This is specified for the supplier in the supplier register, under the "Advanced" tab, to ensure the correct matching against items. - The entire page needs to be reloaded when creating a new supplier in e-Invoice - This affects some customers. If you experience this, please contact support and show what happens.
- A time indication is missing from the approval in e-Invoice - A fix is being worked on
- Credit yes or no is only possible before an invoice is marked as "Ready for approval" - This is being investigated and will be adjusted.
- Allocation cannot be saved - In some cases, when you have filtering applied to your invoices, focus is lost and the allocation cannot be saved. This will be fixed. Current workaround: Select the invoice.
- In some cases where steps 1 and 2 are approved by the same person, the approval cannot be undone – A fix is being developed
-
Retrieving previous allocation does not work - A fix is being developed
Changes we have received feedback about but that will not be changed because they are according to specification
- As an approver, you cannot simply approve the entire invoice without escalating first. - For an approver to approve all steps on the invoice, they must now use escalation. This is according to the specification, as it was previously too easy to approve the entire invoice.
-
Approvers and reviewers cannot see construction VAT lines allocated by the finance administrator - This is an active decision because approval is now at the line level. We are nevertheless investigating a possible solution to display that the invoice has been allocated using a different VAT rate.

It is not possible to allocate to accounts that are not marked as expense accounts in the chart of accounts

Performance
We have received indications that invoices with many allocation lines may take a long time to open and manage. If you notice this, please contact us with a recording of the issue.
Requests from several of you
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We have received the following requests and are looking into how best to resolve them:
-
The Project Manager column is missing in e-Invoice.
We are aware that the project manager column has been removed, and this is due to the new approval flow. Under the "Approval flow" button in e-Invoice, you can see who will approve in the next step.
With the new approval flow, it is not necessarily the project manager who will approve in the next step. Since approval is now at the line level, there may also be several people included in the approval flow. This means that there may be several people next in line to approve the invoice.
We are gathering information about why you would like to have the column and what purpose it serves.
This article is updated continuously until everything has been resolved.
