- A user can now copy one or more invoice lines from a locked or unlocked invoice.
The lines can be copied to an existing invoice or invoice draft, either within the same project or to another. When a copied line is added, it is treated as a manually added invoice line from an accounting perspective, and revenue recognition values are not copied. - The logic for groups in hourly rates has been updated to account for individual values.
If a role has the group set as A,C, it will now match roles that include A and/or C in the Group field, such as:- exactly A,C
- only A
- only C
- e.g. A,B,H
- e.g. B,C
- or no group at all (blank Group field)
Revenue recognition in customer invoices:
Revenue recognition has been updated to establish a direct link between invoice lines and revenue lines, and to continuously apply the revenue rules. Please note that existing integrations are not affected by this update.
- Each invoice line is now directly linked to a corresponding revenue line.
- A new expandable view has been added next to the invoice lines, allowing users to review and adjust revenue.
- The Revenue Recognition tab still provides a summary of revenue, but now updates automatically when invoice lines are changed or removed.
- The Revenue Recognition tab also includes a preview view showing which invoice lines generated which revenue lines.
- The system now continuously applies the revenue recognition rules.
A new permission setting has been introduced to control editing rights:
- Revenue Recognition (as before) – Full access: the user can edit all dimensions.
- Revenue Recognition dim Proj/AO/VO – Allows the user to edit only the Project and AO/VO dimensions in the revenue recognition view at line level.
New Mobile Solution
- "Folder structure" is now available as a display option in Photos/Documents.
Fixes
- Payment terms are now retrieved from the selected customer when copying a customer invoice and choosing to fetch customer data from the register.
- In Booked Hours – Approve hours and travel – create new time record, it is now possible to select an alternative absence project when an absence project is chosen, for users working with piecework.
- Fixed an issue where filtering using "like" and "not equal to" on supplier in booked costs in work orders and VO caused errors.
- Performance improvements when updating booked costs.
New Mobile Solution
- Inactive users are no longer shown as selectable options in lists when creating new projects.
- If multiple lists of the same type exist, the first one in alphanumerical order will now be selected by default.
- When copying time, location and activity will now be shown according to the copied record.
Information
Next ID – a new and more secure login service
Next ID is now live and being rolled out to customers. A banner will appear in your Next environment when it’s your turn to switch to our new login and authentication service. This means the current login method will be replaced with a new one – using your email address as username and a self-chosen password.
Why are we changing the login service?
We want to offer a more secure and flexible login experience. In the future, Next ID will also support login via other services, such as Microsoft Entra (Azure AD).
It will also enable simpler and better integrations going forward.
