Journal 2.0 is a flexible, time-saving digital tool built for the construction industry. It's designed with the physical journal in mind — taking everything you're used to and turning it into an efficient digital experience you can use anywhere. You're not tied to a computer or a set time of day. Instead, you can update your journal right from the field, whenever you need to, using the mobile app.
Real-time updates and monitoring
Every update you make on the worksite is saved in real-time, so the site manager can keep an eye on progress from their computer. You can fill in notes for work that's ongoing, just started, or already completed.
What you can log in the journal
The journal lets you record a wide range of information, including:
- Weather conditions
- Workforce details
- Documents
- Checklists
- Other relevant details
Copying and importing entries
To save you time, you can copy a diary sheet from a previous day to the current date. You can also import notes from other areas — for example, change orders and deviations.
Checklists
You can select one or more checklists from the template library. Checklist templates can be created in the Admin module. Checklists can also be marked as self-inspections completed.
Approval and locking
Once the journal is approved by the client or customer, it becomes locked and no further changes can be made.
Change log
There's also a log where you can see exactly when changes to the diary were made and who made them.
