This article describes how to create and manage users in Next Project when One Login is enabled. You will learn how email addresses are handled during registration, how imported users are activated manually, and how invitations are sent and resent to users.
Adding or importing new users
When you have One Login enabled in your instance, it is mandatory that each user has an email address, since it is required for the activation flow to work. However, the email field is only mandatory when you save an active user — you can therefore add inactive users without an email address.
User registration — email address is mandatory upon activation.
When you import users, they are automatically set to inactive, which means you need to activate them manually afterwards.
Invitation sent to the user
When you save a user as active, an email message is sent to the user — like an invitation.
Email invitation to Next ID — the user is prompted to create or link an existing account.
The email message contains a link that opens a web browser with a flow where the user can set up their Next ID.
If the invitation should go missing or if you need to resend it for any reason, there is a function for that. Use the Send invitation button to resend the invitation.
