This article explains how to configure folders to automatically apply QR code stamps to PDF files, enabling users to verify in the field whether they are viewing the most current version of a document. It covers the steps required to enable QR stamping on a folder and describes how the feature helps reduce the risk of working from outdated drawings.
Folders can be set up so that all PDF files inside them are automatically stamped with a QR code. You can then scan the code in the field using your mobile phone to check whether you're looking at the latest uploaded version — or whether a newer one exists — helping to reduce the risk of working from outdated drawings.
How to enable QR stamping on a folder
- Click on a folder.
- Click on the folder name.
- Click Edit folder (or click directly on the QR code).
Folder view with folder actions dropdown menu expanded; note available folder management options.
- Select the location under QR.
- Click Save.
Once saved, all downloaded PDF files from that folder will be stamped with a QR code.
Ändra (Edit) folder dialog; note color, QR, label, and security options.
