This article explains how to copy a folder within the system, including the permissions required to perform the action. It covers the step-by-step process for selecting a destination folder, choosing how files are handled during the copy, and determining whether to include the selected folder or only its subfolders.
This action requires Write permission. For more information, see Admin groups.
How to copy a folder
- Click on the folder you want to copy.
- Click on the folder name.
- Click on Copy folder.

- Select the destination folder.
- Select whether or not to exclude the files. Your options are:
- Exclude files — files are not included
- Create copies — copies are created of the files
- Create static shortcuts — shortcuts are not automatically updated
- Create dynamic shortcuts — shortcuts are updated automatically
- Create dynamic shortcuts (Sync) — shortcuts are automatically updated and new shortcuts are created if new files are added to the folder
- Select whether to include only the subfolders or also the selected folder.
- Click Save.
