What Is the Alternative Absence Project?
If your construction company needs to report specific absence information, you can mark projects as "Agreement" in the Next client. You can also report absence via mobile on an alternative absence project, and choose to "Include alternative absence project" when retrieving a payroll file. This helps supplement the information and reporting that happens through your Payroll System.

Reporting Time on Mobile
When you report time using your mobile phone, you'll see a field available for an alternative absence project.
How the Absence Project Works
The project set up in Administration > Settings > Office/Company stays as your main absence project. This is where absence is displayed in the client, along with information about the piecework project in the "Alternative absence project" column in Hours project, and in the reporting details in Hours person and Certify hours & travel. Please note that no absence will be shown in Book hours within the piecework project.
No costs will be charged to the specified alternative absence project in Next Project.
