This article explains how to use the Work Orders feature in Next Mobile to manage work orders from a mobile device. It covers three key tasks: reporting on existing work orders (including labor hours and materials), creating new work orders directly from your phone, and obtaining customer signatures on completed work orders.
Reporting on a Work Order
If you have work orders assigned to you in Next Project, you can report on them directly through the Work Orders feature in Next Mobile. Make sure you report both your labor hours and any materials you used.

To report on a work order:
- Log in to Next Mobile and select Work Orders.
- The first tab, All, shows all work orders assigned to you personally. The Pool tab shows work orders assigned to a group you belong to.
- Tap the work order you've been working on to open it.
- Review the work order details, such as the task description or client information.
- Change the status to the relevant option.
- Enter any reporting details.
- Press Save.
- The favorites list will appear — specify any machinery, tools, or materials you used.
- If needed, add or take photos for documentation by tapping the Image button at the bottom left.
- To report your work hours, either use the Time button at the bottom left of the work order, or go back to the home menu and report your time following your usual time reporting routine.

Creating Work Orders in Mobile
Need to create a new work order right from your phone? Here's how:
- Log in to Next Mobile.
- Select Work Orders.
- Tap the + button in the upper right corner to create a new work order.
- Fill in the work order information.
- Look up the project that the work order belongs to.
- Leave the AO number field blank — Next Mobile will automatically generate an order number for you.
- In the Work Order field, enter the work order's name, including the address (for example, Gravel Delivery Degebergavägen).
- Select the client, including a contact person.
- Enter the client's reference number — this is their invoice marking.
- Assign the work order to yourself by tapping the figure icon, or assign it to the person performing the work. You can also place the work order in a pool by choosing a group in the Work Pool field.

- Change the status to the relevant option for the work order.
- In the Task Description field, enter a description of the job.
- Under Reporting, enter any reporting details. This information can be included in reports and invoices.
- Add or take photos as needed.

- Press Save. Your work order is now created and ready for reporting.
Signing Work Orders
In Next Mobile, customers can sign work orders directly on your device through the Work Orders feature.
To sign a work order:
- Log in to Next Mobile.
- If the work order is assigned to you, tap Work Orders. If you're working on a different work order, select Search to find it. You can also create a new work order from within the Work Orders section.
- Tap the signing button in the top right corner.
- Ask the customer to sign the work order, then press Save. The signature will be saved as an image on the work order.
- You'll then be asked if you'd like to send the signature to the customer. If an email address is registered for the customer contact, you can go ahead and send it.

Searching for a Work Order
If a work order is assigned to you or a group you're part of, it will show up automatically when you open Work Orders in Next Mobile. In other cases, you'll need to search for it using the Search option in Next Mobile.

Using the search function, you can search by project number, project name, work order number, or work order name.

Fetching Documents in Next Mobile
- Go to Next Mobile and select Documents.
- Search for the projects from which you want to fetch documents.
- Once you've selected a project, a list of available documents will appear.
- Tap the icon on the right to enlarge a document.
- From here, you can also upload photos or documents.
