This article explains how to use file labels to organize and tag files within the system. It covers how to create, apply, and delete labels, as well as how to manage label visibility and privacy settings in the file list.
Use labels to add extra structure to your files by tagging them for easy organisation.
Create a new file label
- Select the files you want to label — see Select files for help with this.
- Click Selected files.
- Click Labels.

- Click Create new.

- Fill in the Name field.
- Check Public if you want the label visible to everyone, or uncheck it to keep it Private (visible only to you).
- Click Save.

- Your new label will appear on the left.

Tag selected files
- Check the labels you want to apply.
- Click Tag selected.
- In the files list, public labels appear in orange and private labels appear in blue.

Delete labels
- Check the labels you want to delete.
- Click the arrow.
- Click Delete.

- Click Delete to confirm.

- Click the cross on the label you want to remove.

Show or hide labels in the file list
- Click the icon to toggle label visibility:
– Gray icon: labels are hidden
– White icon: labels are visible
