This article explains how to export and import files and folders within the system, requiring Write permissions. It covers the steps for exporting individual files or entire folder structures, importing them into a target folder, and deleting imports from the list.
Requires the right Write, see Admin groups.
Export
Files only
- Select your files — see Select files for guidance.
- Click Selected files.
- Click Export.

- Enter a Name for your export — this helps you identify it when importing later.
- Fill in the Recipient field (your logged-in user is set by default).
- Check Include revisions if you'd like revisions to be exported as well. Otherwise, move on to the next step.
- Click Save.

Folders and files
- Click on the folder you want to export.
- Click on the folder name.
- Click Export.

- Enter a Name for your export — this helps you identify it when importing later.
- Fill in the Recipient field (your logged-in user is set by default).
- Check Include revisions if you'd like revisions to be exported as well. Otherwise, move on to the next step.
- Click Save.

Import
Files or folders
- Click on the folder you want to import into.
- Click on the folder name.
- Click Import.

- Click the name of the export you want to import.

- Uncheck Include files if you only want to import the folders. Otherwise, move on to the next step.
- Uncheck Delete after import if you plan to import the folders or files more than once. Otherwise, move on to the next step.
- Click Import.

Delete an import from the list
- Click on the desired folder.
- Click on the folder name.
- Click Import.
- Click the name of the export you want to delete.
- Click Delete.
