Final status!
This article will not be updated further. New features and changes in Next Project will be described going forward in our release notes.
Remaining:
- It is not possible to change an approval flow that is specified as active on a project. This means that if you want to create a new approval flow to use on all projects, it currently needs to be set manually for each project. - A possible solution for mass-updating the approval flow is being investigated.
- The bubble showing the number of "to-do" items on the e-Invoice button counts differently than before. - We are investigating how this should work going forward
- It is not possible to select multiple invoices for approval at the same time. - This is because approval is now performed at the line level. We are investigating whether a solution should be implemented to handle the lines of multiple invoices at once.
-
It is not working as intended to include subprojects in the approval flow - Being investigated.
Current solution: set a different approval path for each project. - Warning if someone is missing from the approval path - For example, if a site manager has been added as part of the approval path but no site manager has been specified on the project, we want to visualize this in e-Invoice. A solution is being investigated
- A due date is now required in e-Invoice; previously, it could be omitted - However, it is required in the accounting system and was previously handled through the integration when the value in e-Invoice was blank. Solution: Enter a due date. We will consider whether this should be changed back, but it is not the highest priority.
- The approval in e-Invoice does not show a timestamp - A fix is being worked on
-
Reminder emails to approve an invoice are also sent for invoices that have been disputed. - We are looking into this
RESOLVED in the October 22 release
- The final approver cannot change the account allocation: Final approvers can now change the account allocation on all invoices before final approval.
- The final approver cannot change another final approver's approval: A final approver within a cost center can now undo another final approver's approval within the same cost center, similar to how it worked in the previous version.
- Users only see their own projects as approvers in the account allocation: All projects the user has permission to view are now displayed, including other projects belonging to other project managers. The user can then “send” the invoice to another project and thereby to another approval flow.
- Indications of performance issues: Changes have been made to parts of how an invoice is processed so that the system processes less information with the same accuracy but at a faster speed, preventing these delays from occurring.
- The approval limit cannot be changed in an active approval flow: It is now possible to change the approval limit in an active approval flow. The change takes effect immediately on all invoices in the approval flow (invoices that have already received final approval are not affected). However, if an invoice has already been approved in step 1 and the limit is increased for approver 1 so that the invoice is approved according to the limit, it will not receive final approval automatically, but will remain pending approval by approver 2 or the final approver.
- Non-admin users lose access to certain invoices: This has now been resolved so that an invoice is visible to the correct approver until it has been fully exported.
- Show all account allocation lines on the invoice: All account allocation lines are now displayed. The approval flow rules still apply at the line level.
- Approvers in step 1 cannot handle invoices with an amount discrepancy: The discrepancy field is now displayed for users who are not accounting admins.
- It is not possible to undo accrual: It is now possible to select accrual again.
- “Manage account allocation” is not applied in step 2 if step 1 has approved the invoice: “Manage account allocation” always grants permission to edit the account allocation information.
- Error message when selecting “Retrieve account allocation”: "Retrieve account allocation is working again
- The “Ready for approval” and “Undo ready for approval” buttons are now activated immediately: The button is now activated immediately after you save changes to the invoice.

RESOLVED in the October 19 release
-
The new feature that allows linked lines to be released on a customer invoice causes a discrepancy in the revenue allocation if the line originates from several different work orders/change orders. - Fixed; a discrepancy no longer occurs.
-
Display of project name - Now available in e-Invoice
-
Account allocation is not automatically saved when selecting Ready for approval - The account allocation is now automatically saved when selecting Ready for approval.
-
Improvements when creating order lines. The export box is now preselected on lines where an item has been found in the supplier's price list (remember to review your supplier register and link a price list to the supplier to optimize matching), but you can still change it yourself. If the invoice has multiple projects, the project from account allocation line 1 is suggested automatically so that you can approve with one click. You can change the project to another project on the invoice.
-
Credit yes or no is only possible before an invoice is marked as "Ready for approval" - Now works as intended
Being investigated! - It is not possible to change the account allocation as the final approver. - Current solution: The person who approved most recently undoes their approval, changes the account allocation to the correct one, and approves again. Ensure that the person who is to approve has permission to manage account allocation. This is shown under the project's approval flow. We are investigating how this should work going forward
- A final approver cannot remove another final approver's approval, even if they belong to the same cost center - We are investigating how this should work going forward
- It is not possible to change an approval flow that is specified as active on a project. This means that if you want to create a new approval flow to use on all projects, it currently needs to be set manually for each project. - A possible solution for mass-updating the approval flow is being investigated.

-
It is not working as intended to include subprojects in the approval flow - Being investigated.
Current solution: set a different approval path for each project. - The project list is now filtered by user - For some customers, this does not make the work easier. We are investigating how this should work going forward. Accounting admins can see all projects and distribute the invoice lines to the correct project.
- Warning if someone is missing from the approval path - For example, if a site manager has been added as part of the approval path but no site manager has been specified on the project, we want to visualize this in e-Invoice. A solution is being investigated

Solution: Enter a due date. We will consider whether this should be changed back, but it is not the highest priority.
- Clarification regarding the possibility of adding an attachment in e-Invoice - It is possible to add an attachment in e-Invoice, but note that the attachment is not transferred to the accounting system or to posted costs in Next.
- Performance issues in e-Invoice - A handful of customers have reported performance issues in e-Invoice, where certain actions are slow. We are investigating why these customers are affected.
-
There are indications that line-level interpretation works differently than before - Part of a fix has been implemented. Export is not selected by default, and the project is not retrieved. We are looking into this!
Current solution: Export must be selected manually until then, and the values must also be entered manually. Note! Also make sure that you have entered a prioritized price list. This is specified for the supplier in the supplier register, under the "Advanced" tab, to ensure the correct matching with items. - The entire page must be reloaded when creating a new supplier in e-Invoice - Affects some customers. If you experience this, please contact support and show us what happens.
- The approval in e-Invoice does not show a timestamp - A fix is being worked on
- Credit yes or no is only possible before an invoice is marked as "Ready for approval" - Being investigated and will be adjusted.
- Account allocation cannot be saved - In some cases, when filtering invoices, focus is lost and the account allocation cannot be saved. This will be fixed. Current solution: Select the invoice.
- In some cases where steps 1 and 2 are approved by the same person, the approval cannot be undone – A fix is being developed
- Retrieve previous account allocation does not work - A fix is being developed
- Reminder emails to approve an invoice are also sent for invoices that have been disputed. - We are looking into this
- The “Ready for approval” and “Undo ready for approval” buttons are not activated - A bug makes the “Ready for approval” button unclickable even though the invoice is complete. Current solution: The user needs to switch between tabs or other invoices to make it work. - A fix is being developed

RESOLVED!
(2026-10-09)
- "Show all" in e-Invoice has new logic – If you select Show all, you see all invoices where you are included in the approval flow at any step, except accounting admins, who see all invoices when Show all is selected. When Show all is not selected, you only see the invoices for which it is your turn to act.
- It is not possible to send emails from e-Invoice, for example, to dispute an invoice - It is possible to email from e-Invoice again
- The Project manager column is missing in e-Invoice. – It is now possible to view the project manager column again. All project managers are displayed. We are continuing to investigate a new development with a column that displays the next person in the approval path.
- It is not possible to allocate to accounts that are not marked as expense accounts in the chart of accounts - All accounts can now be selected during account allocation
- Poor performance in forecast -Not previously communicated, but this has also been resolved in this fix
-
There are indications that line-level interpretation works differently than before - A partial fix has been implemented for line-level interpretation.
(2026-10-06)
- It is not possible to undo an approval as the final approver when the invoice has been approved in step 1 or step 2 by another approver. - To undo an approval for an earlier step in the approval process, select "Escalate approval" and then click Undo approval.
-
Green check mark missing on invoices approved before the release.
Solution: Undo the approval and approve the invoice again to display the green check mark. Alternatively, approve it in the next step; the invoice will then reload and receive two green check marks.

Changes that we have received feedback about but that will not be changed because they comply with the specification
- As an approver, you cannot simply approve the entire invoice without escalating first. - For an approver to approve all steps on the invoice, they must now use Escalate. This complies with the specification, since it was previously too easy to approve the entire invoice.
- Approvers do not see construction VAT lines allocated by accounting admins - This is an active decision because approval is now performed at the line level. We are nevertheless investigating a possible solution to visualize that the invoice has been allocated with a different VAT rate.
