Next Project has changed the storage location for documents, which requires users who have the check-in/check-out function enabled to update their app. This article describes how to uninstall the old app (NEXT Docs) and install the new version for Windows or Mac.
This information is only relevant if you arrived at this article via a banner in your Next Project.
We have changed the storage location for documents in Next Project. In addition to documents now being stored in a new location, we also have a new app for checking in and checking out documents.
If you have this function enabled, you need to uninstall the old app and install the new one for everything to work as it should. NOTE! If you use multiple different Next Project databases, you may need to keep both apps for a period of time, as one of the other companies may not have been migrated yet. This information applies only to the database where the banner is displayed.
Here's how to do it
Step 1 – Uninstall the old app
Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps on your computer. Search for NEXT Docs and uninstall the app.
Step 2 – Download and install the new app
Click the link that matches your operating system – make sure you select the correct link for Windows or Mac.
