This article explains how to configure and use the Deviation reporting feature in the new mobile solution. It covers the required administrative and module permissions that must be assigned to user groups, as well as step-by-step instructions for navigating the mobile app to view, filter, and create new deviation reports.
If you want to activate Deviation in the new mobile solution, you can find more information here.
Below you'll find instructions on how to set up the right permissions and how to report a deviation using the mobile app.
How do I get started?
First, you'll need to assign the feature permission to the groups that should have access. You can do this by navigating to:
Administration → Groups & Permissions → Administrative Permissions → Menu option: Deviation in Mobile App
Admin Permissions panel showing Mobile App menu choices with Read and Full permission checkboxes.
Each user also needs to have the module permission for Deviation. You can find this setting under:
Administration → Groups & Permissions → Module Permissions → Menu option: Deviation
Module Permissions panel — note the three permission levels available per module.
How does it work?
When you log in to the mobile app, you'll find the Deviation option at the bottom of the navigation bar. If you don't see it right away, tap Show more to reveal it.
Once you're inside the module, you'll see a list of deviations. From here, you can search for a specific deviation or use the Settings button to filter by project.
