New features
New email service in Next Project!
We have launched a new email service that provides better tracking and an overview of all emails sent from Next Project. In connection with the release, this article will be updated with a link to a quick guide containing more information.
What’s new?
- Centralized email log – view all sent emails, regardless of whether they were sent from change orders, deviations, the journal, purchasing, or project/customer documents.
- Delivery status – see whether an email has been delivered or not.
- Recipients and attachments – all information about a sent email gathered in one place.
- Bulk sending – choose whether to send as a single email or separately to each recipient.
The feature will be active starting with the release on the evening of September 21. To access the central Email Archive, go in and add the administrative permission Email log to the relevant group(s).
Close project
When you close a project that has open work orders and/or variation order, information will now be displayed stating that the work orders and change orders in the current project will be closed if you choose to proceed. If you choose to cancel, neither the project nor the work orders or variation orders will be closed. Work orders and change orders in projects that were closed before the release will not be affected.
Customer invoice
- Delete or release individual invoice lines:
You can now delete one or more lines on an invoice without having to delete the entire invoice. When you delete a line, you get the following options:
Delete line – the line is removed from the invoice. The original line is still marked as invoiced and will not be invoiced again.
Delete and release line – the line is removed from the invoice. Linked original entries (e.g., order lines, reported hours, or vendor invoices) are unlocked so they can be invoiced at another time.
If an invoice line is linked to multiple costs that have been combined into one line, they are handled together. It is currently not possible to delete or release individual costs within the same line. - See which costs are behind an invoice line:
By right-clicking an invoice line and selecting "Show origin," you can see which posted costs the line is based on, such as quantity, price/unit, and markup.

Fixes
- When invoice documentation was created using the selection function, "Group by date" could be based on a line that was not selected for the invoice, which resulted in the wrong date on the customer invoice. Grouping is now always based on the lines that are actually selected.
- When the Planning tab was opened for the first time in a project, the planning view could lack a project connection until you switched projects. The planning view now has the correct project information when it is first opened.
- Some customer invoices could not be exported correctly due to invalid characters in the documentation. Invalid characters are now removed automatically so that the export works as expected.
