This article explains how to create and manage item favorite lists in Next Project, including how to organize price list items into grouped subsets for different customers and employees. It covers the steps to create favorite lists, configure their availability (shared, customer-specific, or user-specific), and connect them to individual customers or users.
This article explains how to create item favorites that are unique to different customers and employees. It also covers how to organize items in your price list so they're grouped into separate lists, rather than appearing as one long list.
Working with unique favorite lists is most useful when you have a large number of items in your price list, or when different employees only work with a subset of those items. If you don't have many items to mark as favorites and all employees use the same ones, you can simply mark favorites directly in the item list instead.
Note: If you use unique favorite lists as described in this guide, this function replaces any favorite markings that may already be set directly on items in the price list and/or as customer-specific favorites.
Prerequisites
Before you can create favorite lists, you'll need to have already created one or more price lists on the "Price List" tab in the basic "Price List" registry.

If you want to include items from multiple price lists in the same favorite list, repeat step 3 for each additional price list.

Now you'll need to define how this favorite list should be made available. You have the following options:
a) To make it available to all users, check Common List.
b) To make it selectable for one or more customers, check Customer List.
c) If it should only be used by a specific selection of users, leave both options unchecked.

To connect a favorite list to a customer, follow these steps:
-
Make sure the favorite list has been created and marked as Customer List, as described in the previous section.
-
Open the Customer basic registry.

-
Click Save.
Connect a Favorite List to a User
To connect a favorite list to a user, follow these steps:
-
Make sure the favorite list has been created and is not marked as a Customer List.
-
Open the Administration basic registry and go to the Users tab.
-
Select the user you'd like to assign one or more favorite lists to.
-
In the Favorite Lists field, check the favorite lists that the user should see as their favorites. In the list, you'll see favorite lists that are marked as "Common" and/or are not marked.

How Favorite Lists Appear on Mobile Devices
This section describes how different types of favorite lists are displayed on mobile devices. Favorites appear when a user saves something in the Time, Work Order, or Diary modules on a mobile device.
Common Favorites
Favorite lists marked as "Common List" in Price List/Favorite Lists each get their own tab in Favorites, marked with a gray square in front of the name. The tab name matches the name of the favorite list in the basic registry.
Prislista dialog, Favoritlistor tab; note the shared-list and customer-list checkboxes per entry.
Favoriter page — note the category tabs and item quantity adjustment buttons.
User's Favorites
If a user has one or more favorite lists selected in the user registry, the items from those favorite lists are displayed on a tab called My Favorites, marked with a green square.
Tabs marked with a gray square (such as Construction, Machinery, and Materials in the example below) are favorite lists marked as Common in Price List/Favorite Lists.
Favoriter page showing tabbed categories with quantity controls for each item.
Customer Favorites
When an employee has performed work in a project whose customer has one or more favorite lists selected in the customer registry, the items from those favorite lists are displayed on a tab with the customer's name, marked with a blue square.

Tabs marked with a gray square (such as Construction in the example below) are favorite lists marked as Common in Price List/Favorite Lists.

When multiple types of favorite lists are active at the same time, they appear in the following order on your mobile device's Favorites screen:
-
